Midnight Star, sooooo good. There are several Halloween costume ideas in this video.
MUSIC MONDAY: Aloha "Microviolence"
Been playing Aloha's Home Acres a lot in the studio. The vinyl is a really pretty marbled red. "Microviolence" gets stuck in my head. (There's no official video & the couple of live performances I found had the vocals mixed too low, so this is just the audio.)
"You can make yourself rare
You can raise your value
You can be a mystery
They don't get to know me"
FOCUS.
My friend Tasha is a one-of-a-kind entrepreneur with two successful companies (Imperfect Concepts and ICB Consults), with more launching later this year. Her mission is to empower a million small business owners, and I have no doubt she'll do that. She always has wise words to share and isn't sugar-coating anything. (Follow her Instagram for a taste.)
On Sunday night, she hosted a great discussion between female small business owners (on an Instagram post). In one of the comments, she recommended this video by Big Sean on the importance of focus.
He's sharing some deep wisdom that frankly I've been studying through some esoteric spiritual books and teachers. It all lines up with what he says in this video, so he must be studying the same stuff!
MUSIC MONDAY: Electric Avenue
Such a fantastic song. Though it's a little sad that a protest song that's over 30 years old still has such a relevant message today.
