Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2015

The San Francisco Bay Area is home to a few great music festivals each year, but Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is the most unique and the most fun.  Held in Golden Gate Park, it's FREE to attend (thank you Warren Hellman, RIP), and it was created out of a sheer love of music (rather than a love of money), but it still offers up three full days of eclectic talent, featuring huge headliners, local favorites, and plenty to discover.

I only went one day this year, on Sunday, but still had a full festival experience.

Passion, dance moves, drama, a killer drummer, custom jackets & two costume changes:  66 year-old Charles Bradley gave me life.

Cobra Rock boots kicking around in the dirt.

The Sadies are always dressed to kill.  I'm feeling tiny here next to Travis Good and his gorgeous suit.

A huge crowd enjoying Los Lobos' set.  They just released a new record called Gates of Gold.

Neko Case's set was another highlight.  Her voice just rings like a bell.  She was wearing the best teal green flight suit with a modern fit, so I knew it wasn't vintage.  I had two seconds to speak with her, and all I wanted to know was who made her outfit.  She said it's from her friends at Horses Atelier.  I've gotta make some cash so I can go on a shopping spree! Horses, I SEE YOU.
